  • UNDISCOVERED Reviews: Alt Studios T-Shirt Review!

Welcome back to another review, today We will be reviewing the Alt Globe T from Alt Studios. If you have a product that you like to send to us and review, be sure to message us on Instagram and we can get that sorted. That being said, let’s get into this review. Packaging The packaging came in a plain white plastic bag, usually the norm for clothing brands these days. Product Description Now when it comes to the design on the T I actually think it’s a fire design, no pun intended. The graphical printed on a black T and showcases what looks to be the world engulfed in flames around its edges. It is then finished off with “ALT” written over the world graphic. The A in Alt is also substituted for the Anarchy sign, a common motif in underground fashion. At first, I wasn’t too sure if the colour of the world which is slightly turquoise would work with the colours of red and orange flames but Alt have actually managed to make it work. And when I actually look closer at the graphic I think the print job was amazing in terms of getting the colours and gradients right, along with the details. Especially the fire print. I feel like this is a print that can easily be messed up but it seems to have come out good. As for the weight of the product, there’s not much to say apart from that it’s basically the same weight as your basic regular fit T. The shirt is also what I believe made out of 100% cotton and also comes in a grey colourway . Quality/Sizing/Fit I will say that it isn’t one of the comfiest shirts I own however the sizing came correct and I believe that the comfort is something that I will just have to get used to over time since it’s a new T. I got a size medium which fits perfectly for me. I would probably go up a size for an oversized fit as these t-shirts have a more regular fit rather than an oversized one but this is not a complaint. I can also start to see a few cracks in the print of the T but I feel like this is something that compliments the T as it matures so I feel like that effect will come out nicely down the line.I have seen this same effect with another T in my wardrobe. To Improve… I feel like the main thing Alt can improve is the material of the T for extra comfort. It’s not like it’s a seriously needed improvement or that the product is unbearable but I’d say it would take alt studios the extra mile if they considered it. Lastly, I would also say an inside label would’ve been nice as well as a little cleaner stitch work on the T The Verdict In summary, I’m glad I got another graphic T in the books. I’d actually say it looks better in real life than it does online and that’s a big plus. I feel like it’s very versatile in terms of what you want to style it with, which if you think about it is another plus. I will say I wish I went for size Large to get that nice oversized fit but it’s no problem on their end. My favourite aspect of the T, will obviously have to be the graphic design on it as I believe a great job was done on it which came out well. I would rate this product a 3.9/5 I will leave a link to their Instagram and website below so you can pick yourself one up. To close off, if you have a product that you like to send to us and review, be sure to message us on Instagram and we can get that sorted. I won’t be able to review everything so it will be selective but I will try to get round to everything.

  • UNDISCOVERED Reviews: Aesthetic Awareness Magazine Review!

In today’s review we will be reviewing the first issue of the Aesthetic Awareness Magazine. Now, this magazine actually released on the 9th of last month retailing for £15. The first issue is dedicated to growth. In Particular audience growth and potential growth. Through their interviews, the featured designers detail their triumphs, challenges, goals for the future and their life before starting their brands. The designers featured include – Jakis Christ – Infinite Pieces – 4×1111 – Lorenz.OG – Sage – Young Chicken Pox If you have a product that you like to send to us and review, be sure to message us on Instagram and we can get that sorted. That being said, let’s get into this review Packaging As for the packaging I actually forgot what it was like lol, i received this ages ago and threw it away after so well just skip this section lol Product Description The magazine comes with a 350GSM Gloss Laminated Cover with the 124 pages of content being printed on 130GSM Silk paper. The pages inside are light pastel colour with the text being printed bigger than usual. The front cover displays Aesthetic Awareness as the masthead accompanied with Issue – 01 right beneath the right side of text. The front image also features someone modelling the Sage in Utopias Plant in a Shell Jacket with green scenery behind it. Lastly it displays the features in the magazine on the left side. Quality and Content As for the quality, I don’t have much to say except that it seems good. It feels well constructed and very sturdy. Actually better than other magazines I’ve read from bigger companies and I’m not the biggest magazine guy. As for the content, I’d say it’s a great selection of articles and topics to write about. The content basically covers designers and their journeys with the growth of their Instagram pages and brands. It also has the lessons learnt by Aesthetic Awareness regarding growth. The first page of the magazine before big followed by the context page elaborates on the issue of growth additionally the platform, its owner and Instagram in general. The last page is a thank you page that pays homage to his family, friends, girlfriend and other artists and pages that inspired him. If you’re a small brand or someone thinking of starting something creatively for this industry I recommend this as a pickup as it has great insights that will teach you early lessons as well as give you little motivation from people about the journeys of certain creatives. To improve… If we were to be harsh you could say that the quality of some images could have come out better but if you know anything about manufacturing magazines, it’s very expensive. So this is actually expected and not a concern for me. Plus this is the first issue so there’s always room for improvement in forthcoming issues. I would also say the layout and text is a little unorthodox compared to the typical magazine for example the text is a bit large, different fonts and background colours are sued but something tells me that was done with intent and if that’s the case, i dont think thats too much of an issue either. The Verdict I think this a very good effort from Aesthetic Awareness and is also a good step for pages like ours as it brings something different to the industry and just gives another route of exposure for brands. I can also appreciate the time and effort put into getting this together as I’ve had slight experience in creating magazines so I know for a fact this was a bit hectic for them to plan out the pages and layout, get all the articles and look for suitable prices to put this together. I can’t wait to see what they got planned for the next issue I would rate this product a 4/5 and recommend this to small and startup brands especially, definitely a worth it pickup. I’m going to leave their Instagram page below and leave a link to buy it from their website. Website Instagram To close off, if you have a product that you like to send to us and review, be sure to message us on Instagram and we can get that sorted. I won’t be able to review everything so it will be selective but I try to get round to everything.

  • UNDISCOVERED Reviews: Bane Croc Review!

Today we’ll be reviewing the Bane Croc. Now if you missed our last review go and make sure you check that one out too . This is Bane’s own take on one of the most polarising pieces of footwear, Crocs. These were released by Bane in February retailing for $29.99 plus shipping. With the recent rising popularity and comeback of the Croc, a lot of brands decided to make their own custom versions and Bane was the first custom I was able to get my hands and eyes on. If you have a product that you like to send to us and review, be sure to message us on Instagram and we can get that sorted. That being said, let’s get into this review. Packaging When it comes to packaging it comes in your basic plain white plastic bag which is the norm for clothing brands nowadays. Product Description As for the croc aka Broc, it comes in an off white colourway with a slight beige tint to it. I just say when I saw it on Instagram it definitely had a more beige look to it, making me think it came in a more beige colour rather than the brighter white it actually came in. Once again not really a complaint as I understand that it’s just part of the editing process for product pictures. The croc is finished off with a print of the skeletal structure of the toes, I’m not convinced they are human toes as they’re quite long but that’s not something too significant. This also accompanied with the hexagonal holes as opposed to the circular holes your regular crocs may have. The shoe is also made out of EVA and has a rather minimalist look to it excluding the print. The insole also comes with dotted padding to add extra comfort to the shoe. The weight of the product was also surprisingly light upon arrival which can be a plus depending on your perspective. It definitely was for me, not for any particular reason, more so because I expected it to be a bit heavier. Quality/Sizing/Fit As for the quality, I don’t have anything to complain about especially since it’s still in good condition with a little wear and tear. It’s also very comfortable, probably the comfiest shoes I have right now. And for a person who more used to wearing sliders which are comfy themselves, I can appreciate something that’s even comfier As for the sizing, I recommend going with your normal size. I think I went for a size 8-9 and it fits pretty much perfectly. It’s also a quite bulky shoe especially in terms of width but has a lot of room for movement as it fits quite loosely around the foot, I think this also adds to the comfort of the shoe. It almost reminds me of the Balenciaga Triple S. You can also expect a bit of extra height with the thick sole it has. To Improve… There’s not much I would say to improve about this croc except that maybe more branding could’ve been done on the heel strap as you can see the original croc logo on the side. Additionally, maybe a better printing method could have been used for the skeletal toes as you can see the print already having cracks in it. However, I guess you can say that’s expected with wear and tear so it’s honestly that big of an issue. The Verdict… Overall, I really enjoyed this product and it’s what I expected, I was also looking to expand my footwear collection especially for homewear and I feel like a croc like that was a good addition to it. My favourite aspect of it is the comfort and versatility it comes with. I prefer styling them with high socks and shorts but it pretty much works with anything you try on. The design is also dope and very streetwear esque making it a perfect addition to your streetwear wardrobe It also garnered some attention and a few compliments so it’s obvious they a good piece of work. To summarise I would rate the product and 4.1/5. I would say get this product if you’re considering it didn’t think it would be a good addition to your wardrobe. I’m not sure if they’re still selling them but I will leave their website below. I’ll also leave their Instagram pages below so you can contact them in case you have any queries. • UNDISCOVERED Reviews: Vague “Motorsport” T-Shirt Review

Welcome back to another review article. We’ve finally been able to restart this series after doing our first one in April last year. Today we will be reviewing the Motosport T-shirt from Vague. This came from their “Motorsport” Collection that released on the 5th of June. Now as you can see with the T, there is a lot going on, it’s an eye-catching piece for sure. Therefore let’s take a dive into the inspiration behind this T. This t-shirt design was inspired after the name of a Formula One race car titled the “Eagle MK1” (mainly known as the Eagle T1G). The car itself was designed by Len Terry in the mid 1900s for the All American Racers team and made its debut during Formula One’s 1966 season. After its first four races, a newer version of the car was introduced and ended up winning the 1967 Belgian Grand Prix. This is our way of paying homage to a vehicle considered to be “one of the most beautiful Grand Prix cars ever raced at the top levels of international motorsport.” If you have a product that you like to send to us and review, be sure to message us on Instagram and we can get that sorted. That being said, let’s get into this review. Packaging The t-shirt came in plain red plastic packaging which was easy to open as well as easily resealable. No complaints here but it’s always nice to see when brands take it step further and personalize packaging or make it unique. At the same time, I understand the high costs of this and that it’s not always ideal for starting up brands. Product Description The shirt is made out of 100% premium cotton which it definitely feels like I must say. It’s also a cut and sew piece adding up to about 8 ounces. Another thing to add is that it’s an oversized, heavyweight T with an all-over print. As you can see the base print is a red and white thunder located on the upper to mid half of the shirt from the back and front as well as sleeves. The secondary layer of print is the eagle face large and right in the centre of the T. Lastly this is accompanied by “Vague/Motorsport” text, printed right under the eagle face in a colourway combo of Red and Yellow. One thing that was also included was the inside label print. I always rate when clothing brands go the extra mile in branding and have inside shirt labels, it really adds to the brand and effort. Quality/Sizing/Fit To reiterate on the quality, this is definitely one of the best feeling shirts in my wardrobe but it’s also very different. I’m more used to thinner and stretchier material so to have something thicker and rugged is an excellent addition to my wardrobe which I appreciate a lot. I also think that the oversized fit adds to the comfort as it fits looser around the body. To elaborate on the fit I realized the shirt was longer and dropped lower on my arms and shoulders. This was due to the difference between a US medium and a UK medium . Now I originally fit a size medium however I realised that the US and UK have different sizing charts so a US size medium isn’t the same as a UK size medium so upon trying it on, I did notice it had a larger fit than expected. Am I complaining? Again I appreciate it, I have a different oversized T in my wardrobe and this is on another level overused which I like. It’s something different, something new. If you are UK And want a smaller medium it might be a good idea to go a size down instead of getting the original medium unless you like the fit of a US style medium. As for Americans you already know the drill so you can stick with the normal sizing. To improve… I’m gonna be honest, there really isn’t anything to say for this segment. The shirt came well designed and in perfect condition. Other people may have different opinions when they buy it but as for me. The Verdict To summarise, I’m glad to receive this product as it’s a good addition to my wardrobe that brings something new and different to my style and I think it’s a good piece to start expanding it from. I’ve had an increasing interest in graphic Ts, especially oversized ones. My favourite aspect of this T is the size and fit. I feel like this is another piece you can style with a lot of things but I think the best it would go with is cargos and some sort of chunky shoe. However, recently I have been wearing them with shorts a lot and I think it could also work with jeans. When it comes to rating this product I think I would give it a 4.5/5 If you’re looking to cop this product, check their website below and also look at the rest of their collection as it includes other fire products which I’m looking at copping. Their Instagram will also be linked below. Website Instagram To close off, if you have a product that you like to send to us and review, be sure to message us on Instagram and we can get that sorted.
